Board of Trustees Statement

The Hinds School Board of Trustees is very proud of the school it administers. We are all parents and serve on the Board for the benefit of all children. All communities need a focal point. For the Hinds district one of those is the school, so consequently we enjoy a very close liaison with our community.

In today’s education we understand the freedom of choice in education and we continue to strive for the very best of facilities and opportunities for our children.

Our Board has a very open structure and operates well in a team environment. We work closely with both the Fundraising Committee and the Home and School, their support being of great benefit in the school. We meet monthly and parents are welcome to attend.

Our School beliefs state that the education Hinds School children receive will give them the opportunity to reach their full potential, to enable our children “to be the best they can be”.

Please refer to the Hinds School policies and procedures for guidance or questions.  

You are welcome to contact the school office or the principal regarding questions or concerns you may have. 

From time to time the Board, Staff and School Community review policies and procedures. This gives all stakeholders the opportunity to have a say in how certain aspects of the school and curriculum are managed. 

When required to do so, you will be notified, in the newsletter, of which policies we are reviewing. You can then go into the SchoolDocs website and review the policy and leave comment where appropriate.
